On 18 March 2026, at the residence of the Ambassador of Romania in Makati City, Alin Roșca signed a partnership between RepsMate and the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines. His company was entering the Philippine market. "We believe in the Philippines being the global hub of the BPO industry," he told the room, according to the ECCP.

Roșca is the founder and CEO of RepsMate, a Romanian AI company. Its platform analyzes thousands of spoken and written conversations, the company says, checking quality automatically and pulling out insights a team can act on. At the signing he committed to helping BPO companies stay competitive and improve their KPIs without cutting their workforce.

The origin

A sales job and a developer with 50 applications

Roșca came back to Romania from the UK in 2019, "his mind buzzing with ideas," according to RepsMate's own account. A casual job in sales then gave him the idea for a new way for businesses to understand their clients.

He built it with George Tarida, a developer RepsMate credits with more than 50 enterprise applications. Profit.ro reported in July 2021 that RepsMate was founded in 2020 by Roșca, Tarida and Mihai Guran.

The early years were hard, and RepsMate says so plainly. It lists cash flow issues, fundraising hurdles and almost no awareness of the company. The same report said RepsMate received €50,000 from investors in TechAngels Romania that January, along with a convertible loan from business angels and Cleverage VC.

“They invested in our vision and in us as people.”

That is how RepsMate describes its first client, who did more than buy the product. Today the company says it partners with Telekom, eMAG, Vodafone and Regina Maria.

Every conversation, on every channel

In 2021, Roșca described a problem most customers never see. He told Forbes Romania that the quality of conversations was checked by listening at random to at most 5% of all calls. "Now we offer the possibility of analyzing all conversations, on all channels: voice, text, video," he said, adding that the team was focusing on voice for the time being.

“RepsMate improves sales quality by deciphering the emotions and context of conversations.”

Small models, trained for one job

RepsMate keeps its AI focused on customer service. Its tools include Case Summarization, Agent Assist and Automated QA. The company says Automated QA can "Evaluate 100% of interactions against your quality standards," and that the platform can be installed in the cloud or on a client's own servers.

"Unlike generic solutions, our small language models are fine-tuned specifically for customer service use cases, delivering higher accuracy and more relevant insights," the company says. It puts integration with existing systems at "as little as one week, with minimal IT resources required."

The measure

What RepsMate counts as success

RepsMate says its goal is to change how businesses listen to and understand their customers. On its About page, it calls its clients' success its obsession.

Its customers speak for it on its site. Testimonials there come from Carmen Cucu, Director Patient Experience at Regina Maria, and Nicoleta Iancu in Customer Care at eMAG Group, among others.

For a buyer, the 5% figure Roșca gave in 2021 is the point. A company that hands its customers to an outsourcing partner can ask how many of those conversations anyone checks. By RepsMate's own description, its answer is all of them, scored against the team's own standards. The choice of cloud or local installation also matters to buyers with their own security rules.

What comes next

Where he says it is going

The Philippines is the next chapter. The ECCP described RepsMate as a European AI solutions provider that wants to equip customer care agents with AI instead of replacing them. Romanian Ambassador Răduţa Dana Matache told the room: "I want to congratulate RepsMate for the vision and intelligence to choose the Philippines." EU Ambassador Massimo Santoro also commended the company's choice.

Roșca came with International Partner Manager Andrei Viorică and with Alfred Reiterer, who served as advisor to the CEO on entering the Asian market, according to the ECCP. The Philippines is RepsMate's first expansion hub in Southeast Asia, The Philippine Business News reported. The partnership, facilitated by the ECCP, designates RepsMate an official AI partner.

"We believe in local power. We believe in building value within the industry," Roșca said, according to The Philippine Business News.
