Earned, never bought

How Scoring Works

Every company tier on BPOAI.ai is earned against published criteria: real staff, real training, real usage. This page explains exactly how. The five scoring axes, the company tier ladder, and the consent process behind every listing.

The credibility score: 5 axes, 100 points

A company's score is the sum of five independently assessed axes. Scores are published only after review, never from self-reported claims alone.

The company tier ladder

A company sits on this ladder the moment it claims its profile. Unclaimed is a status, not a judgment; it is the only thing we ever say about a company that hasn't engaged.

Unclaimed

status, not a score

Has not claimed a profile. The only thing we say about a company that hasn't engaged.

Dabbler

1–49

Claimed profile; AI usage minimal, unverified, or self-reported only.

Builder

50–84

Real AI tooling in active production, staff trained, some documented outcome proof.

Terraformer

Sign-off

85–100

Full accreditation — verified tooling, trained workforce, documented KPI outcomes, plus mandatory human sign-off regardless of score.

No tier can be bought. Terraformer additionally requires a named human to review the assessment transcript and sign off, regardless of score.

Consent and verification

Listings enter the directory two ways: public business information compiled by our research agents, or a direct submission through the Get Listed form. Compiled listings are shown as Unclaimed until the company takes them over. They carry no tier, no score, and no evaluative label of any kind.

Direct submissions require explicit consent: the submitter confirms they are authorized to act for the company and that the information is accurate. Every new listing then passes an internal review, a working website that matches the company and basic sanity checks on headcount and location.

Nothing goes live without that pass, and new listings start at Dabbler: confirmation that a listing is accurate and company-managed, not an AI capability rating.

Frequently asked questions

The rules behind the tiers, in plain terms.

01

Who gets a score?

Only companies that claim their profile. A company that hasn't engaged with the platform is shown as Unclaimed and nothing more; we never publish an evaluative label or rating on a business that hasn't opted in.

02

Can a company pay for a higher tier?

No. Tiers are earned against the published criteria. Departmental badges are earned by staff completing training; only the training seat can be paid for, never the badge itself.

03

Are self-reported answers published?

No. The AI-maturity self-rating collected in the Get Listed form is an internal input. It is never published without review, and public scores only appear after that review has happened.

04

How does a company reach Terraformer?

Full scoring across all five axes (85+), plus a mandatory human sign-off: an assessor reviews the assessment transcript and approves the tier by name, regardless of the numeric score.

05

What about reviews?

The Digital Presence axis credits active, real reviews. Fabricated reviews score zero and have no place anywhere in the system.

06

How does consent work for new listings?

Every submission through the Get Listed form requires a declaration that the submitter is authorized to act for the company, and every new listing passes an internal review (working, matching website; sanity checks on headcount and location) before it goes live. New listings start at Dabbler once published.
