Towne Answering Service

It all started back in the 50’s. Answering calls for – and actually dispatching – local police departments. The more modern version of Towne was incorporated in 1968 to provide call center and answering services for medical and commercial clients using the best technology available at the time (the time was 1968 and the technology was a switchboard!). The majority of those clients are still with us today.

As time passed and technology advanced, so did Towne. The answering and call center equipment we use evolved from switchboards to a basic computerized system with handwritten messages. From there Towne moved to a fully computerized, paperless, advanced messaging system with digital lines and switching. In 2008, we moved to a larger facility at 208 North Main Street, in Souderton, Pennsylvania. In 2017, we implemented our fifth generation of computerized call center platform, which has enabled us to continue our growth and meet the needs of our customers into the 21st century.

Towne Services is one of the United States' oldest telecommunications companies. They've been around for nearly 70 years and still serve a variety of clients all over the country today.
