UTP Productions, Inc.

UTP Productions, Inc. Handles one of the most overlooked headaches in the events and entertainment industry: getting workers paid correctly, on time, across multiple states. Based in Salt Lake City, Utah since 1994, the company specializes in payroll services for theatrical productions and trade show labor, giving clients a single point of contact for what is otherwise a fragmented, compliance-heavy process. The core of what UTP does is payroll outsourcing for event-driven workforces. Theatrical productions and trade shows draw labor from multiple jurisdictions, often on short notice, and the paperwork burden falls hard on producers who are already managing a hundred other moving parts. UTP takes on that burden as a dedicated back office partner, processing payroll so clients can stay focused on the production itself. For companies looking to outsource their event labor administration, UTP offers a practical alternative to building that function in-house. The company serves clients across a broad geographic footprint, covering Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Washington. That 21-state reach makes UTP a viable back office outsourcing option for touring productions, national trade shows, and multi-venue events that cross state lines. Beyond payroll, UTP describes itself as a full-service event production company with the flexibility to step in quickly when clients need support. The team is accessible on short notice, which matters in live event environments where timelines compress fast and problems need to be solved in real time, not on a ticketing queue.
