About the Client
Our client is one of the UK's leading accountancy and business advisory firms, supporting ambitious businesses, entrepreneurs, and private clients with accounting, tax, audit, and advisory services. They are continuing to grow their offshore team to support their cloud accounting operations and deliver high-quality financial services to a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses.
The Role
We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Real-Time Bookkeeper to support a portfolio of owner-managed business clients. Working within a collaborative accounts team, you'll help maintain accurate financial records using cloud accounting software, delivering timely financial information and excellent client service.
What You'll Do
- Process sales and purchase invoices.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate bookkeeping records.
- Assist with VAT return preparation and submissions.
- Monitor aged debtors and creditors.
- Support month-end bookkeeping processes.
- Maintain digital records and documentation.
- Build strong relationships with clients and respond to routine queries.
- Work primarily with Xero, QuickBooks Online, and other cloud-based finance tools.
What We're Looking For
- 6 months–2 years' experience in bookkeeping, accounts administration, or finance.
- Experience using Xero and/or QuickBooks Online.
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping and VAT.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
- AAT studies or qualification (desirable).
