Role Overview: The Insurance AR associate focuses on the high-volume processing of time-of-service payments for telehealth appointments. This is a data-entry-intensive role that requires exceptional speed, accuracy, and pattern recognition to manage a high volume of transactions without direct client interaction. Key Responsibilities: Account Review: Daily review of assigned telehealth accounts in Advanced MD (AMD) to determine expected patient responsibility (copay/coinsurance). High-Volume Payment Processing: Charge time-of-service payments for appointments where patients did not pay via the automated paywall. Data Integrity: Maintain the Telehealth Copay Detail Spreadsheet, updating statuses such as "Card Charged," "CC Declined," or "Needs Special Review". Verification & Correction: Update Provider Profiles and TH Copay amounts in AMD based on insurance responses to ensure correct billing and payment disbursal. Benefit Analysis: Use benefit check notes and previous insurance responses to estimate costs for pending visits. Refund Identification: Identify accounts with negative balances (credits) and determine if a refund is required based on pending visit costs. Requirements Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. Experience: 1-2 years of experience in high-volume data entry, back-office medical billing, or financial transaction processing. Pattern Recognition: Strong ability to quickly identify trends in insurance responses and financial data. Technical Skills: Advanced MS Excel skills (managing large, "finicky" spreadsheets without breaking data links) and high WPM typing speed. Reliability: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting daily volume quotas.
