Strictly necessary
Always on — no consent needed, and no way to switch them off
These only ever exist once you sign in or apply for a job. A visitor who only reads the directory never receives any of them.

Analytics and performance

These tell us which pages help people and where they get stuck. Microsoft Clarity also records a replay of the visit, including mouse movement, clicks and scrolling.

Our city pages can show a Google map. Google sets its own cookies the moment that map loads, so we show a placeholder instead and leave the choice to you.

Not cookies, but worth telling you about
Some things are kept in your browser's own storage rather than in a cookie. None of it is sent to us as you browse, none of it is used to track you across other websites, and clearing your browser data removes all of it.

Saying no is as easy as saying yes
The banner offers “Accept all” and “Reject all” as the same button, in the same place, at the same size. Rejecting takes one press, exactly like accepting, and nothing optional loads if you reject or if you simply ignore the banner.
There is no “legitimate interest” tab, and nothing is pre-ticked.
Changing your mind later
“Cookie settings” sits in the footer of every page. It reopens the same chooser, shows what you picked last time, and lets you switch any category off again or withdraw entirely.
Because a recorder cannot be unloaded once it is running, turning analytics off reloads the page so that it genuinely stops rather than stopping at the next click.
How your choice is stored
In a single first-party cookie named bpoai_consent, set by your browser and readable only by this site. It holds the version of this policy you answered, one on/off value per category, and the date — no identifier, and nothing that says who you are.
It lasts six months, after which we ask again. We do not log your choice on our servers, so clearing your cookies clears the record of it too, and you will see the banner again.
Whether any of this changes by country
It does not. Everyone gets the same banner, the same default of off, and the same rejection wherever they are, and we do not detect or act on your location for this purpose.
Third parties, in full
Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity (analytics, after consent), Google Maps (the city-page map, after consent or a click), and Google Sign-In, which loads only on the job-board sign-in page and only because you chose to sign in with Google.
We run no advertising or marketing pixels of any kind. There is no Meta pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no TikTok, X, Reddit or Pinterest tag, no Google Tag Manager container, no third-party chat widget, no booking tool and no video embeds. Our site is delivered by Cloudflare, which may set a short-lived security cookie if it needs to challenge a request that looks automated.
Your browser is the other control
Every browser can block or clear cookies, and ours copes with that: the site works with cookies blocked, apart from signing in to the job board, which genuinely cannot work without its session cookie.
